{"id":147983,"date":"2026-03-07T21:11:41","date_gmt":"2026-03-08T03:11:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/?p=147983"},"modified":"2026-03-07T21:11:41","modified_gmt":"2026-03-08T03:11:41","slug":"registration-is-open-for-the-popular-childrens-summer-camp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/?p=147983","title":{"rendered":"Registration is open for the popular children\u2019s summer camp"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nazareth, PA\u2014The Moravian Historical Society invites students aged 8 to 12 to kick off their summer immersed in history during Hands-on History Camp.<\/p>\n<p>Two sessions of Hands-On History Camp will run Monday through Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Session One: June 15\u2013June 19 (only a few spots left)<\/li>\n<li>Session Two: June 22\u2013June 26<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This year\u2019s theme is \u201c250 Years of Science Through History.\u201d As we commemorate America&#8217;s 250th anniversary, this camp will explore STEAM-centered activities to learn how science and technology have changed how we live our lives. Campers will have the opportunity to work hands-on with local scholars and professionals who will lead exciting activities and learning experiences. Campers will: explore museum objects, create projects, act out a final play, and much more!<\/p>\n<p>The camp takes place on the Moravian Historical Society\u2019s beautiful three-acre historic site.<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 1857, the Moravian Historical Society (MHS) preserves, interprets, and celebrates the rich culture of the Moravians. MHS maintains the 1740\u20131743 Whitefield House and the 1740 Gray Cottage, the oldest surviving Moravian structure in North America.
