Lifesaving Choices.<\/strong>, a community initiative encouraging residents to donate blood while supporting local public media.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout the month of <strong>March<\/strong>, community members can donate blood at any Miller-Keystone Blood Center donor location. Each successful donation will help save lives in the region and trigger an additional <strong>$50 donation to WDIY from a generous anonymous supporter<\/strong>, amplifying the impact of every donor.<\/p>\n<p>The campaign reflects a shared mission between the two organizations: strengthening the community through service, connection, and lifesaving action.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWDIY has always been about giving voice to the community,\u201d said <strong>Margaret McConnell, Executive Director of WDIY<\/strong>. \u201cWith <em>Power of a Pint<\/em>, we\u2019re turning those local voices into lifesaving action. The organization serves <strong>major hospital networks across the region<\/strong>, making local blood donations critical for patient care.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery blood donation can help save multiple lives,\u201d said <strong>Monika Kotlarska-Gross, Director, Donor Relations of Miller-Keystone Blood Center<\/strong>. \u201cOur partnership with WDIY highlights how local organizations can work together to make a real difference. Donating blood is one of the simplest and most powerful ways people can help their neighbors in need.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Donors participating in the campaign should include <strong>Group ID #8969 <\/strong>when scheduling their appointment to ensure their donation is counted as part of the Power of a Pint initiative.
