(March 25, 2026) <\/strong>&#8211; Meals on Wheels of the Greater Lehigh Valley (MOWGLV), a nonprofit that provides homebound seniors and adults with disabilities freshly prepared nutritious meals and a daily wellness check, received $15,000 from the 2025-26 Trusted Response Fund. Part of the Lehigh Valley Community Foundation\u2019s Capacity Building Leadership Grantmaking, the funds from the grant will support the launch of the \u201cNourishing Neighbors\u201d Rapid Response Meal Program.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re incredibly grateful to the Lehigh Valley Community Foundation and the Trusted Response Fund supporters for investing in programs that meet urgent community needs,\u201d said Dina Kovats-Bernat, Director of Development &amp; Communications at Meals on Wheels of the Greater Lehigh Valley. \u201cThis funding allows us to launch the Nourishing Neighbors Program, a collaboration with Valley Health Partners, and respond quickly when patients are screened as food insecure, ensuring they receive immediate nutritional support while connecting them to longer-term resources in the community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Nourishing Neighbors program, a collaboration between MOWGLV and Valley Health Partners Community Health Center, provides immediate nutritional support to patients identified as food-insecure by providing shelf-stable food boxes and connecting individuals to local food pantries for additional support.<\/p>\n<p>The grant is made possible through contributions from the following fundholders, who contribute to foundation-directed grantmaking:<\/p>\n<p>\u2012 Comcast Corporation<\/p>\n<p>\u2012 The Pine Fund<\/p>\n<p>\u2012 Lehigh Valley Helping Hand Fund<\/p>\n<p>\u2012 Donald &amp; Alice Farquharson Fund<\/p>\n<p>\u2012 Leonard A.
