GreatNonprofits.org Award is based on Positive Online Reviews<\/strong><\/p>\n

Allentown, PA, May 4, 2016<\/span>–Meals on Wheels of Lehigh County announced today that it has been honored with a prestigious Top-Rated Award by Great Nonprofits, the leading provider of user reviews about nonprofit organizations.<\/p>\n

Michele Grasso, Development Director said: \u201cWe are proud to announce that we have received a Top-Rated 2016 Nonprofit award.\u00a0 This is the third year in a row that we have received this honor.\u00a0 Because of our dedicated volunteers and generous donors, we have been able to help our homebound neighbors remain in their own homes, where they want to be, for as long as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Top-Rated Nonprofit award was based on the large number of positive reviews that Meals on Wheels of Lehigh County received \u2013 reviews written by volunteers, donors and clients. People posted their personal experience with the nonprofit. For example, a volunteer wrote: I am a volunteer for this excellent organization. I am so impressed by the dedication and compassion the volunteers and staff show toward the people they serve! Providing healthy meals and friendly visits to those that need assistance but want to remain in their own homes provides huge benefits to the entire community.\u201d<\/p>\n

Celebrating its 45th<\/sup> anniversary, each weekday Meals on Wheels of Lehigh County, a nonprofit agency, serves more than 450 homebound seniors and adults with disabilities living throughout Lehigh County. 912 individual and group volunteers deliver almost 168,000 meals each year and provide grocery shopping services.
