{"id":149071,"date":"2026-04-30T22:24:07","date_gmt":"2026-05-01T02:24:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/?p=149071"},"modified":"2026-04-30T22:24:07","modified_gmt":"2026-05-01T02:24:07","slug":"volunteers-needed-for-2026-season-at-valley-preferred-cycling-center","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/?p=149071","title":{"rendered":"Volunteers Needed for 2026 Season at Valley Preferred Cycling Center"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>TREXLERTOWN, PA<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 The Valley Preferred Cycling Center (VPCC), widely recognized as the premier outdoor velodrome in North America, is seeking community volunteers for its 2026 racing season, including\u00a0<strong>Friday Nights Under the Lights<\/strong>\u00a0and the\u00a0<strong>USA Cycling Junior Track Cycling National Championships<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Volunteers are needed for\u00a0<strong>Friday Nights Under the Lights<\/strong>, running\u00a0<strong>May 29 through August 14<\/strong>, as well as for\u00a0<strong>Junior Nationals<\/strong>, taking place\u00a0<strong>July 23\u201327<\/strong>. These events bring together elite athletes, rising juniors, and thousands of fans for an unmatched summer sports experience.<\/p>\n<p>Volunteer opportunities are diverse and hands-on, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assisting with rider registration and race operations<\/li>\n<li>Supporting ticket sales and admissions<\/li>\n<li>Greeting and assisting spectators<\/li>\n<li>Helping execute promotions and in-event entertainment<\/li>\n<li>Assisting merchandise sales and sponsor activations<\/li>\n<li>Supporting plaza setup and hospitality areas<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Volunteers play a critical role in delivering the energy and experience that makes Friday nights at the velodrome a regional destination.
