(May 4, 2026) \u2014 Tilly Lockey<\/strong>, a British motivational speaker, social media star, presenter, model, advocate and role model to people of all ages, will bring her message of inspiration across the pond to Good Shepherd Rehabilitation\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.goodshepherdrehab.org\/about-us\/newsroom\/tilly-lockey-to-present-at-2026-boundless-speaker-series\/\">2026\u00a0<em>Boundless<\/em>\u00a0Speaker Series<\/a>\u00a0at 6:30 p.m. June 3 on the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.goodshepherdrehab.org\/location\/south-allentown-hyland-center\/\">South Allentown Campus<\/a>, 850 S. 5th St., Allentown.<\/p>\n<p>At 15 months old, Tilly contracted a severe strain of meningococcal septicemia. Described as \u201cthe worst case the hospital had ever seen\u201d and given 0% chance of survival, Tilly beat the seemingly insurmountable odds. She faced one week in intensive care, three weeks in recovery, a secondary infection, 10 blood transfusions and the amputation of both arms.<\/p>\n<p>Now at age 20, Tilly will travel to Allentown to share her inspirational story with the Lehigh Valley community. The\u00a0<em>Boundless<\/em>\u00a0speaker series event is a\u00a0<strong>free<\/strong>, ticketed event. Not soon after she relearned to walk, she was experimenting with prosthetics \u2013 ones that weren\u2019t very functional, but incredibly realistic.<\/p>\n<p>The stigma of differences being something to hide away was one that surfaced at a very young age for Tilly; the origin of her message and work today to showcase prosthetics in a beautiful light, accessorizing them as something to be proud of across runways, TV and social media. Tilly has grown to be a remarkable young woman with a unique story of transformation. She is a motivational speaker, social media star, presenter, model, advocate and role model to people of all ages, as well as being an active ambassador and co-developer of the Hero Arm, the 3D-printed bionic arms which she wears, produced by groundbreaking prosthetic company, Open Bionics.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About the Event<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is the fourth installment of Good Shepherd\u2019s annual\u00a0<em>Boundless<\/em>\u00a0speaker series and is open to all ages.<\/p>\n<p>Host and former WFMZ-TV anchor\/reporter\u00a0<strong>Melanie Falcon<\/strong>\u00a0will serve as the evening\u2019s special emcee. Following Tilly\u2019s keynote, Melanie will host a Q&amp;A featuring audience participation.<\/p>\n<p>Complimentary appetizers and beverages will be served.
