EASTON, Pa.\u2014Greater Lehigh Valley Writers\u2019 Group (GLVWG) will hold its monthly meeting from 10 a.m. \u2013 noon on Saturday, May 16, 2026. The meeting is offered in a hybrid format\u2014in-person at the Palmer Branch of the Easton Library, 1 Weller Place, Palmer, PA, and online via Zoom.<\/p>\n
Membership business will be conducted from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. From 11:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m., designer Gayle Hendricks will present \u201cGraphic Design for Authors.\u201d\u00a0This workshop is for writers who hire designers as well as DIYers. It centers on what makes a good cover and interior, choosing cover images, basic design and type concepts, resolution, and more.<\/p>\n
Hendricks will present an afternoon workshop on graphic design for authors. Participants will critique published books and learn what makes them a good or bad design. Hendricks will have samples, but attendees are encouraged to bring examples (perhaps their own covers?) for critique.<\/p>\n
Registration is required for the afternoon program. Cost is free for members; $15 for non-members payable via AccuPay. Any person under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for any GLVWG event.<\/p>\n
