Two Lehigh County teens have been awarded scholarships from the Lehigh County 4-H Program Development Committee.<\/p>\n

Parker Haydt of Northampton wins Lehigh County 4-H Scholarship<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Parker Haydt, son of Leon Haydt and Tammy Lorah-Haydt of Northampton, will graduate from Northampton High School and Bethlehem Area Vocational-Technical School in Plumbing. He plans to attend Pennsylvania College of Technology for On-Site Power Generation Technology. Parker has been a member of 4-H for 12 years, participating in Lehigh County Equine, Neffs Clovers, Livestock, Teen Council, and Potato Judging. In addition to his club involvement, he has served as a counselor at 4-H Camp and 4-H Horse Camp and serves on the State 4-H Team Horse Power.<\/p>\n

Levi Lazarus of Schnecksville wins Lehigh County 4-H Scholarship<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Levi Lazarus, son of Calvin Lazarus and Andrea Semmel-Lazarus of Schnecksville, will graduate from Lehigh Christian Academy. He plans to attend Muhlenberg College next fall, majoring in Political Science and a minor in Filmmaking. He has been a member of the Lehigh County 4-H program for 11 years and participates in the Livestock Club, Dairy Club, Teen Council, Program Development Committee, and Potato Judging Clubs. In addition to his club involvement, he has served as a counselor at 4-H Camp and serves as a State 4-H Project Ambassador for the Expressive Arts Committee.<\/p>\n

4-H provides hands-on learning in a wide variety of subject areas for boys and girls, ages 5 – 18.\u00a0It is part of the youth development programming of Penn State Extension.\u00a0For more information about 4-H, contact the 4-H Educators on weekdays at 610-391-9840.<\/p>\n
