Mother-Daughter Duos help local families build strength and stability during a Mother\u2019s Day Build in celebration of Habitat for Humanity\u2019s National Women Build Week<\/b><\/p>\n
Build to take place on May 7, 2016 from 8-2pm<\/span><\/span> in Allentown, PA<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n [Allentown, PA<\/b> (May 4, 2016)] \u2013 Mothers and daughters are volunteering with Habitat for Humanity of the Lehigh Valley on May 7th<\/span><\/span> to help local families build or repair a decent and affordable place they can call home. Saturday\u2019s<\/span><\/span> project is part of Habitat for Humanity\u2019s National Women Build Week, which takes place April 30-May 8<\/span><\/span>. The project also supports \u201cHome for the Holidays,\u201d a nationwide initiative launched by Lowe\u2019s and Habitat for Humanity to work alongside 1,000 families to help them build or repair their homes by December.<\/p>\n Habitat for Humanity\u2019s National Women Build Week is a weeklong event created by its Women Build program that invites women to devote at least one day to help families build strength, stability and independence through housing. The week is meant to spotlight the homeownership challenges faced by women. Lowe\u2019s donated $2 million to Habitat\u2019s 2016 National Women Build Week.
