Live, Learn & Play, a Lehigh Valley non-profit dedicated to helping local families with Autism and special needs children, is hosting a Superhero 5K and Family 1 Mile Walk and fundraiser for all family members on Sunday, June 5th from 8:30am – 12pm at Steel Stacks in Bethlehem. This event is sponsored by Croslis Law.<\/p>\n

Participants in this year\u2019s race are encouraged to wear their Superhero capes and attire. Prizes will be awarded for the most unique and outstanding costumes. White capes will be available for purchase to decorate your own cape to enter in the cape decorating contest or participants can bring their own pre-decorated capes to enter. There will be face painting, a sensory area, and lots of Superhero-themed activities for kids of all ages to enjoy.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur goal is to create inclusive family entertainment, for families with Autism and typical families as well\u201d says Jill VanKuren, President of Live Learn & Play. \u201cThis is our second year with the Superhero theme. Last year, it was a blast for everyone. It\u2019s always so much fun to see everyone dressed up and having fun! It is our hope that this event will also help us provide more services and programs to our local children and families who really need support\u201d<\/p>\n

100% of the proceeds from this event will go to benefit local families with Autism and special needs.<\/p>\n

Those interested in attending are encouraged to register at https:\/\/secure.qgiv.com\/event\/llpsuperhero5k\/<\/a> For the 5k, Adult tickets start at $35 and children\u2019s tickets at $20 for those 6-12 years old.\u00a0 For the Family 1 mile, Adults have a fundraising minimum of $25 each and children have a fundraising minimum of $10 each for those 6-12 years old. Children 5 and under are free for both the 5k and 1 mile.<\/p>\n
