TREXLERTOWN, Pa. \u2013 With the 2016 USA Cycling Junior and Elite National Championships at the end of the month, the excitement on the track in July is sure to be at a high level. The same can be said with what is happening off the track that month as well.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday afternoon the Valley Preferred Cycling Center announced its promotional schedule for the month of July, headlined by USA Night to start off the month.<\/p>\n

\u201cJuly is a very special month in T-town,\u201d Juliann Masenheimer, VPCC Events and Communications Manager said. \u201cWe are proud to host the national championships. We want to put on a great event both on and off the track.\u201d<\/p>\n

On July 8, just a few days removed from Independence Day, is USA Night, which comes on the night of the T-town Showdown at VPCC. The night will be a celebration of everything red, white, and blue. Allentown Beverage, the official beer provider for the VPCC, will present three deserving Hometown Heroes with a prize pack during opening ceremonies. Also, there will be Budweiser specials and prizes as well in the plaza.<\/p>\n

Additionally, all active and past service members as well as first responders receive free admission with ID proof of service that night.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur Hometown Heroes are important to us here at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center,\u201d Masenheimer said. \u201cLast year\u2019s opening ceremony was beautiful and we hope for the same recognition, and respect those men and women received last year for this year.\u201d<\/p>\n

The party continues the next week with Bolt\u2019s Birthday Bash. Bolt, VPCC\u2019s mascot, will celebrate his first birthday with our local mascots throughout the night. The well-known food truck Trixie\u2019s Treats will be set up in the plaza as well as B104\u2019s morning show hosts, Mike and Steph. Also, knockerballs will be utilized for some intermission fun.<\/p>\n

The 2016 USA Cycling Junior and Elite National Championships are a weeklong event, spanning from July 25 through July 31. However, July 29 and 30, will have just a few more incentives to come to the T-town.<\/p>\n

July 29 is Thunder-stick Night presented by Service Electric, the exclusive cable provider and broadcaster of VPCC and its World Series of Bicycling. The first 200 fans through the gate will receive a set of thunder-sticks to let the country\u2019s best riders know how loud the T-town Faithful can be.<\/p>\n

The very next night has more in store as the School of Rock will be performing live music in the plaza and there will be beer specials as well.<\/p>\n

Tickets are available as low as $5. Kids 12 and under are free with a paying adult.<\/p>\n
