Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-threatening genetic disease that primarily affects the lungs and digestive system. An estimated 30,000 children and adults in the United States (70,000 worldwide) have CF.\u00a0 The mission of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is to cure cystic fibrosis and to provide all people with the disease the opportunity to lead full, productive lives by funding research and drug development, promoting individualized treatment and ensuring access to high-quality, specialized care.<\/p>\n
Emily Conners has been recognized by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation as a Lehigh Valley’s “Finest” Honoree.\u00a0 This recognizes Lehigh Valley men and women ages 25 and over that exemplify strong leadership qualities, are active volunteers and excel in their chosen profession. The Finest campaign is designed to spotlight young leaders, honoring their professional and charitable accomplishments.<\/p>\n
