DORNEY PARK, Allentown, PA (October 14, 2016<\/span>) <\/em><\/strong>\u2013 On October 9th<\/sup>, Dorney Park hosted \u201cPediatric Cancer Awareness Day\u201d for children and families affected by childhood cancer.\u00a0 As part of opening ceremonies for the day, representatives from Dorney Park proudly presented Alex\u2019s Lemonade Stand Foundation and one of its Hero Families with a donation in the amount of $70,595 for its fundraising efforts during the 2016 season.<\/p>\n The annual event, which is also sponsored by Just Born, Inc. and the law firm of Fitzpatrick Lentz & Bubba,P.C., drew over 500 guests of Alex\u2019s Lemonade Stand Foundation and the Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley in efforts to \u201cScare Away Childhood Cancer\u201d.\u00a0 Invited guests enjoyed a full day of fun, including a luncheon, crafts, festive fall activities during The Great Pumpkin Fest and Dorney Park\u2019s rides, as well as special appearances from PEANUTS\u00ae characters and Just Born\u2019s PEEPS\u00ae mascot.<\/p>\n In 2015, Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom established a partnership with the Alex\u2019s Lemonade Stand Foundation through its Lemonade Days, a month long program during June.
