{"id":24301,"date":"2016-11-10T16:12:49","date_gmt":"2016-11-10T21:12:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/?p=24301"},"modified":"2016-11-10T18:54:09","modified_gmt":"2016-11-10T23:54:09","slug":"httpwww-thevalleyledger-comp1904-463","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/?p=24301","title":{"rendered":"The Rider-Pool Foundation announces third class of community leaders in Collective Impact Fellowship Program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div><b><span style=\"font-size: large;\">THE RIDER-POOL FOUNDATION COLLECTIVE IMPACT FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM CONTINUES WITH NEW CLASS OF COMMUNITY LEADERS<\/span><\/b><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>ALLENTOWN, PA \u2013 <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_392339076\"><span class=\"aQJ\">November 10, 2016<\/span><\/span> \u2013 The Rider-Pool Foundation has announced the third class in its intensive, nine-month Fellowship program that trains and equips non-profit leaders to meet the community needs of a rapidly developing downtown Allentown.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The Collective Impact Fellowship Program was created in 2014 to effectively address and measurably improve complex quality of life challenges within neighborhoods surrounding the downtown Neighborhood Improvement Zone (NIZ) through a new system of non-profit leadership.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>It brings together local leaders representing a diverse range of community-focused issue areas. Careyva, Physician, Family Medicine, Lehigh Valley Health Network<\/div>\n<div>\u2022 Christi Dominguez, Executive Director, Valley Against Sex Trafficking (VAST)<\/div>\n<div>\u2022 Radhika Hoshing, Director, Grace Montessori School<\/div>\n<div>\u2022 Helen Julia, Project Manager, Children&#8217;s Hospital, Lehigh Valley Health Network<\/div>\n<div>\u2022 The Rev. Larry D. Pickens, Ecumenical Director, Lehigh Conference of Churches<\/div>\n<div>\u2022 MaryAnn Przekurat, Executive Director, The Literacy Center<\/div>\n<div>\u2022 Lori Sywensky, Executive Director, Turning Point of Lehigh Valley<\/div>\n<div>\u2022 Brett Williamson, Director, Adult and Pediatric Psychiatry, Lehigh Valley Health Network<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The Fellows receive approximately 180 hours of training now through June 2017 from a faculty of national experts. Topics will include in-depth knowledge and application of collective impact strategies; effective project design and evaluation; and leadership skills for broad-based collaboration.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The Rider-Pool Foundation\u2019s intent is to serve as a means to improve the quality of life in the community, to build on the community\u2019s strengths and add to its vitality, and to increase the capacity of the community to serve the needs of all its citizens.
