The wait is over.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>Five years ago, Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes performed at Musikfest Caf\u00e9<\/a>.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>Saturday night, a full house welcomed them back as they made it one big party.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Energy levels flipped to high from the first song, \u201cDon\u2019t Waste My Time\u201d, as it started with prominent drum lines and the blast of three horn players, often swinging during the set.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>The song, was the first of four featured from his 2015 release of \u201cSoultime\u201d.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Somewhere around the fifth song, John Lyon (Southside Johnny) took his sunglasses and pin stripe jacket off, now donned in a green Dr. Seuss\u2019s Grinch tee shirt and jeans, and it was time to kick this party in high gear.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>The audience felt the beats to \u201cCadillac Jack\u201d, and the band played on with a segway to \u201cJingle Bells\u201d at the end of the song.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>Throughout the set there were several interludes of holiday songs thrown in as brief snippets.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>For Lyon was full of holiday cheer and happiness despite the Grinch attire.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
