{"id":25489,"date":"2016-12-16T14:25:44","date_gmt":"2016-12-16T19:25:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/?p=25489"},"modified":"2016-12-16T14:25:44","modified_gmt":"2016-12-16T19:25:44","slug":"allentown-ready-snow-storm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/?p=25489","title":{"rendered":"ALLENTOWN READY FOR SNOW STORM"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The city of Allentown is prepared for <span data-term=\"goog_1070943235\">Saturday\u2019s<\/span> expected snow storm.<\/p>\n<p>According to Interim Director of Public Works Craig Messinger, plows and salt spreaders are mounted on 43 trucks to make traveling in the city as safe as possible.\u00a0 \u201cWe have the equipment and manpower ready for whatever Mother Nature throws at us,\u201d said Messinger.<\/p>\n<p>City streets have been brined. The city has an ample supply of road salt and anti-skid material.<\/p>\n<p>The city\u2019s Emergency Operations Center will open at <span data-term=\"goog_1070943236\">7 o\u2019clock<\/span> this evening.
