Rep. Ryan Mackenzie (R-Lehigh\/Berks) would like to remind area veterans that his district office in Macungie offers appointments on the second Friday<\/span><\/span> of each month for veterans to meet with an outreach specialist from the American Legion. This month, appointments are still available for Friday, Jan. 13<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n Some of the services available to veterans and their dependents include assistance with compensation, pension, death benefits, education and health care, as well as any issues pertaining to veterans benefits. Veterans do not need to be a member of the American Legion to receive these services.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is a great opportunity to have a one-on-one meeting with someone knowledgeable about VA services and benefits who can guide you through the system and answer any question you may have,\u201d said Mackenzie. \u201cI encourage veterans to take advantage of this free, personalized service.\u201d<\/p>\n Appointments are offered the second Friday<\/span><\/span> of each month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.<\/span><\/span> at Mackenzie\u2019s district office at the Lower Macungie Township Administration Building, 3402 Brookside Road in Macungie.
