February 25, Angel 34 Award Ceremony, <\/strong>St. Joseph the Workers Church in Orefield, 1-4:30 PM. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Parkland School District will receive a 2016 \u201cSweet Pea\u201d Award to acknowledge their work in the fight against childhood cancer (Angels in Disguise). Over the past four years, Parkland High School and Kernsville Elementary School have been leaders in the community making sure that \u201cEvery Child Has Its Own Angel During Their Battle with Cancer\u201d by participating in fundraising events. The award will be presented at 3:15 PM during the 7th Annual Wine and Chocolate Event.<\/p>\n

February 26, Purse Bingo hosted by the PHS Softball Booster Club, PHS Cafeteria. <\/strong>

February 27- March 3, End the R-word Week at PHS!<\/strong><\/p>\n

The PALS Club (Peer Assisted Learning Support) will ask the student body to make a pledge to not use the word “retarded.” The campaign asks people to pledge to stop saying the R-word as a starting point toward creating more accepting attitudes and communities for all people. Language affects attitudes and attitudes affect actions. Pledge today to use respectful, people-first language. Visit Chipotle at 3114 Tilghman St. on Feb 28th for the PALS Club fundraiser.

It’s time to register for Kindergarten!<\/h2>\n
All students who will be new to Parkland for Kindergarten or First Grade this fall should call their neighborhood elementary school now for an appointment. Order a Senior Class Yard Sign<\/h2>\n
\n

Class of 2017 is selling yard signs to congratulate seniors. Signs will be printed<\/p>\n

on both sides and come with the yard posts (see photo above of the sign graphic). They will be available in May 2017. You will be emailed when signs are ready to be picked up at the HS. Each sign is $22. Signs are vinyl, 24\u201d x 18\u201d, and come with yard posts. Checks should be<\/p>\n

made payable to PHS Class of 2017. Forms can be submitted online at the following<\/p>\n
