On December 28, 2016 we were going to the park where we take Bella Luna Roma (my dog) for a walk. We turn on to Dauphin Street to go to the park and in the middle of Dauphin this gigantic beautiful dog was sitting right in the middle of the street. He was trying to get to cars and no one was stopping for him. We stopped, along with another gentlemen who had his son and his small dog with him. We had an extra leash in the back seat because we had Bella Luna Roma (my dog) with us. We stopped and pulled into a lot. The dog heard Bella barking and he followed our car to the side of the road. We had already had traffic backed up trying to get him off the road. My mom got out and he seemed friendly and he wanted to find his car. My mom looped Bella\u2019s leash around him and the gentlemen who stopped could not take him due to his dog and his son and we had Bella Luna Roma with us. <\/span><\/p>\n

The man offered to stay with the dog so we could go home and I could get my car and go back for him. My mom took me home to get my car and I drove back to Dauphin Street and the gentlemen stayed with the dog. I took the dog in my car. He was friendly and seemed lost and a little scared but thrilled to jump right in my car! He sat on my lap, kissed my face and almost gave me a huge hug in dog language. My mom started calling him Fred and he responded. We could not keep him because of Bella Luna Roma and many other reasons. We took him to Lehigh County Humane Society 640 Dixon Street, Allentown, PA 18103 \u2013 Phone 610-797-1205.<\/span><\/p>\n

This was a difficult rescue. He is a gentle giant. We spoke to the people at the Humane Society. He had no collar and no microchip so he is now at the Humane Society. We visit him and check on him as much as possible. The Humane Society changed his name and they call him HERCULES now. A fitting name for a beautiful dog who went through quite an adventure. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Today we stopped in to see him and Ami Houde who drives the ZOMBIE Monster Truck <\/span>https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/amihoude71\/<\/span><\/u><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>was also there to bring awareness for the Humane Society. Ami is here for the Monster Jam Triple Threat at the PPL Center <\/span>http:\/\/www.pplcenter.com\/events\/detail\/monster-jam-triple-threat-series<\/span><\/u><\/a>\u00a0 <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Ami took time to pose for photos, meet the animals (and humans) and even listened to HERCULE\u2019S story! The Humane Society has a wish list and if you bring a donation in on the wish list you will receive a coupon for \u201c50% off of select seats to the Monster Jam show on Friday, March 3 at 7 p.m. Donations will also be accepted at the PPL Center box and the Humane Society anytime on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday with coupons being distributed while they last.\u201d @pplcenter Instagram. <\/span><\/p>\n

Today, Hercules seemed sad but happy to see my mom and us. He has so much love to give and deserves a good forever home. Hercules is now on the Humane Society\u2019s website and available for adoption. He is such a beautiful dog and so smart. You can go to the Lehigh County Humane Society\u2019s website <\/span>http:\/\/thelehighcountyhumanesociety.org\/available-pets\/<\/span><\/u><\/a> and search \u201cAvailable Pets.\u201d And he is a male and his name is HERCULES!\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
