Murray made the announcement in front of over 125 friends, supporters, and family members. He is a graduate of Easton Area High School, Moravian College, and the Seton Hall University School of Law. He has been in private practice since 1983. “Northampton County needs someone who has the experience, maturity, and judiciousness to be our next Judge. Sam Murray is all of those things. I am honored to support him,” said Bethlehem Mayor Bob Donchez.

Murray has spent over 30 years practicing law, including 10 years presiding as the Child Custody Master and Juvenile Court Judicial Hearing Officer for Northampton County, being appointed to both positions in 2003. He has presided over thousands of cases, making the most important decisions for families and protecting the future of our community’s children. He will be resigning as Juvenile Court Judicial Hearing Officer as he starts his campaign. “Having served alongside Sam on community organizations, I know that he has the compassion and temperament to be a great Judge in Northampton County,” stated Easton Mayor Sal Panto. In a prepared statement, State Representative Robert Freeman endorsed Sam noting that he is “an individual of great integrity and possesses the kind of even keeled temperament that is among the most important qualities for a Judge to have.”

“I am the only candidate who has the experience running a courtroom, having presided for over 10 years as the Judicial Hearing Officer in Juvenile Court. I know what it’s like to make tough, difficult and critical decisions that affect families, and protect children and our community. Anyone who knows me understands my ability to promote civility and respect in a courtroom. Over the years, I have gained the ability to be patient and judicious.” stated Murray. Bethlehem Attorney Michael Corriere adds, “Sam Murray is exactly what the court system needs. He has the experience, maturity and ability to make the hard decisions and do what is best for the people of Northampton County. That is why I am supporting him for judge.”

Murray views his campaign for Judge as an extension of his many years of involvement in

our community.
