{"id":30273,"date":"2017-04-10T21:15:01","date_gmt":"2017-04-11T01:15:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/?p=30273"},"modified":"2017-04-10T21:15:02","modified_gmt":"2017-04-11T01:15:02","slug":"subaru-shares-lots-love-meals-wheels-northampton-county","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/?p=30273","title":{"rendered":"Subaru Shares Lots of Love For Meals On Wheels of Northampton County"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Participation in Share the Love Event leads to generous grant for program support<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>(BETHLEHEM) \u2013 Meals On Wheels America awarded Meals On Wheels of Northampton a $12,672 grant through the latter\u2019s participation in the 2016-2017 Subaru of America\u2019s Share the Love Event.<\/p>\n<p>As part of a national partnership with Meals on Wheels America, Subaru donated $250 to the purchaser\u2019s choice of participating charity, such as Meals on Wheels, for every new vehicle sold or leased from November 17, 2016, through January 3, 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Locally, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.faulknersubarubethlehem.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Faulkner Subaru Bethlehem <\/a>has partnered with Meals On Wheels of Northampton County to raise money and awareness for the Bethlehem-based nonprofit organization for the past four years. \u201cWe are proud to have helped support an extremely worthy cause,\u201d says David Kopew, general manager for Faulkner Subaru Bethlehem.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMeals On Wheels is more than just a provider of daily nutrition to our neighbors and community members that are no longer physically able to provide meals for themselves. It is an opportunity for folks who use the service to keep their independence and pride, while at the same time being checked on daily by a gracious neighborhood volunteer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mealsonwheelspa.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Meals On Wheels of Northampton County <\/a>is a private, nonprofit organization that has supported healthy living through the delivery of nutrition services since 1972. We provide meals and smiles for more than 1,500 seniors and adults with disabilities each year.
