Local cancer warrior Wyatt Newhard collects items and creates Easter bags for fellow Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley kids.<\/strong><\/div>\n

BETHLEHEM, PA April 11, 2017<\/span><\/span> – Twelve-year-old Wyatt Newhard recently found out he has relapsed with cancer for the fourth time. \u00a0Newhard, a student in the Northwestern Lehigh School District, has been battling cancer since the age of 3.<\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

His long journey with cancer has allowed him to meet many other local children battling cancer. \u00a0Wyatt decided he wanted to brighten the lives of these local pediatric cancer warriors by creating Easter bags. \u00a0Local Thirty-One representative and family friend Kami Dietrich secured an almost $2,000 gift from Chevy 21. \u00a0The Newhard Family used the funds to purchase Thirty-One Bags and items to put into the bags.<\/div>\n

On Wednesday, April 12th at 4:30 p.m.<\/span><\/span>, Wyatt and his family will be distributing 75 Easter bags to local pediatric cancer patients and their siblings in the PCFLV Ray of Sunshine Room in the Banana Factory (25 W. 3rd Street, Bethlehem). \u00a0Local artist Ellen Kalinosky recently decorated the Ray of Sunshine Room with her unique doodling style of art. PCFLV will be providing food and beverages for all attendees.

\n“We are blown away by Wyatt’s Easter Bag project,” said Michelle Zenie, Executive Director of PCFLV. \u00a0“His desire to help his fellow cancer warriors is truly heart-warming. \u00a0We are looking forward to an evening of laughter and friendship.”
