The MVLA was the first national historic preservation organization and is the oldest women’s patriotic society in the United States. Their pioneering efforts in the field of historic preservation have set an important precedent and model for many organizations around the nation. Since 2007, Mount Vernon has been providing stunning reproductions of the Rembrandt Peale’s famous Porthole Portrait of George Washington to schools, libraries, and government offices across the country.<\/p>\n April 27, Middle School Parent University, 7 PM at Springhouse Auditorium. <\/strong>Next year’s 6-8th graders will be issued a Chromebook. Signs will be printed<\/p>\n on both sides and come with the yard posts (see photo above of the sign graphic). They will be available in May 2017. You will be emailed when signs are ready to be picked up at the HS. Each sign is $22. Signs are vinyl, 24\u201d x 18\u201d, and come with yard posts.
