April 19, 2017 (Emmaus, PA) The Emmaus Farmers\u2019 Market announced today that Opening Day for the Market\u2019s 2017 weekly season will be May 7, 2017<\/span>.\u00a0 The Market will be open from 10 am to 2 pm<\/span> and is sponsored by BB&T and is presented in partnership with the Emmaus Main Street Partners.\u00a0 The Market is held at the BB&T located at 235 Chestnut Street, Emmaus, PA.<\/p>\n

The Emmaus Farmers\u2019 Market or \u201cThe Market\u201d as it is known throughout the Lehigh Valley, will open its 15th<\/sup> year on May 7, 2017<\/span>.\u00a0 The Market will feature 27 vendors that include seasonal produce, meats, breads and flowers each week.\u00a0 The Market will be open every Sunday<\/span> through November from 10 am to 2 pm<\/span> and then in December will be open from 10 am to noon<\/span>.\u00a0\u00a0 The Market is held at the BB&T located at 235 Chestnut Street, Emmaus, PA 18049.<\/p>\n

Opening Day will feature music by the Emmaus Public Singing Society and special guest The Seed Farm, a unique farm incubator located in Emmaus that provides new farmers with valuable, practical experience and skills on their training farm as well as the opportunity to launch a sustainable farm business on their Emmaus site.\u00a0 A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held in partnership with Emmaus Main Street Partners at 10 AM<\/span> and include members of the Emmaus Farmers\u2019 Market Board of Directors as well as representatives from the Market\u2019s sponsor, BB&T, and members of the Emmaus Borough Council.\u00a0 In addition, gift bags will be given to the first 200 to register online at www.emmausmarket.com<\/a> .\u00a0 Friends of the 1803 House, a step back in time that preserves the architecture of the Moravian culture of\u00a0Colonial Pennsylvania and illustrates the lifestyle of Colonial America, will be hosting a community table.\u00a0 The Emmaus Main Street Partners will be working alongside the Emmaus Farmers\u2019 Market <\/strong>with <\/strong>fun children\u2019s activities and Market greetings as well as a photo booth.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n
