The City of Allentown along with the Allentown Fire Department in partnership with the Allentown School District is rewarding the hard work of some elementary school students with a ride to school in a fire engine.\u00a0 The program begins Tuesday, May 2<\/span> at Executive Education Academy Charter School and will conclude on Friday, June 2<\/span> at Union Terrace Elementary School.<\/p>\n

Two students from each of the participating elementary schools have been selected by their principal to be rewarded with the ride. Students were selected for excellence in academics, academic improvement, behavior, citizenship, perfect attendance, work ethic, leadership in the classroom and safety patrol.<\/p>\n

May 30<\/span> – McKinley- Emmanuel Santiago Rivera Excellence in Citizenship, Keyliana Maga Gonzalez Excellence in Behavior<\/p>\n

May 31<\/span> – Washington- Robert Williams, Angelo Santiago Ortiz Excellence in Academics<\/p>\n

June 1<\/span> – Mosser- Luis Marinez, Mery Correa Castro Excellence in Academics<\/p>\n

June 2<\/span> – Union Terrace- Kisha Raymond, Alexis Rosario Excellence as a Safety Patrol<\/p>\n

The students will be picked up at their home by a fire engine and transported to their respective school.\u00a0 Arrival at the public schools is expected between 9:05am and 9:15am.\u00a0 Arrival at the charter schools is expected around 8:30am<\/span>.\u00a0 The students will also receive a certificate from the fire chief and signed by Mayor Ed Pawlowski in recognition of their achievement.<\/p>\n
