\nReturning to the Musikfest Caf\u00e9, Coco Montoya, highlighted the Arts and Music Fest.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>Out on the road supporting his new CD, \u201cHard Truth\u201d, Montoya delivered a dynamic performance, to a full Caf\u00e9 audience.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The show opened with \u201cHey Senorita\u201d, and followed by \u201cTruth Be Told\u201d, from the new release.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>While almost half of the set list contained songs from \u201cHard Truth\u201d, there were plenty of favorites in store like \u201cCan\u2019t Get My Ass in Gear\u201d, \u201c\u2019Bout to Make Me Leave Home\u201d, and \u201cLove Jail\u201d.<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Montoya\u2019s roots run deep in Blues Rock music.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>He started as a drummer in his teen years in California, and later picked up the guitar as a secondary instrument.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>He had a chance meeting with Albert Collins, the \u201cMaster of the Telecaster\u201d, and was asked to join his band, and later played with John Mayall, \u201cThe Godfather of the Blues.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>Under these influences, Montoya has become a world-renowned guitarist and vocalist.<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In concert, Montoya continues to amaze new and old fans.<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>The strength of his vocals runs the spectrum from passionately fluid to gut wrenching, while he intensely and masterfully made his guitar sing and weep, and took us to new levels we never knew existed. <\/span><\/p>\n
