font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hotclubphilly.com\/\">The Hot Club of Philadelphia <\/a>is an acoustic ensemble dedicated to playing \u201cGypsy Jazz\u201d which they performed last night at 187 Rue Principale in Emmaus.<\/span><\/span><span style=\"margin: 0px; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The band performs as a quartet which includes guitarist Barry Wahrhaftig, rhythm guitarist Dan Pearce, bassist Jim Stager and<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">violinist Joseph Arnold.<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Later in their program the band features vocalist Phyllis Chapell.<\/span><\/span><span style=\"margin: 0px; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">They take you back to a simpler time.<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The music is melodic and it swings.<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cSomeone to Watch Over Me\u201d by Cole Porter was definitely the sentimental favorite with the audience.<\/span><\/span><span style=\"margin: 0px;
