{"id":37203,"date":"2017-07-03T19:14:32","date_gmt":"2017-07-03T23:14:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/?p=37203"},"modified":"2017-07-03T19:14:32","modified_gmt":"2017-07-03T23:14:32","slug":"annual-wine-mountain-festival-penns-peak-returns-two-new-wineries","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/?p=37203","title":{"rendered":"ANNUAL WINE ON THE MOUNTAIN FESTIVAL AT PENN\u2019S PEAK RETURNS WITH TWO NEW WINERIES"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em><u>Lehigh Valley Wine Trail welcomes special guests Shade Mountain Winery &amp; Vineyards and The Winery at Wilcox.<\/u><\/em><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>LEHIGH VALLEY, PA \u2013 <em><span data-term=\"goog_1630752090\">July 3, 2017<\/span><\/em> \u2013 \u00a0The Lehigh Valley Wine Trail\u2019s annual wine festival, Wine on the Mountain, returns to Penn\u2019s Peak in Jim Thorpe for its 14th year on Saturday, July 22 and Sunday, July 23 from <span data-term=\"goog_1630752092\">noon to 5 p.m.<\/span> both days.<\/p>\n<p>Wine on the Mountain features wine tastings and sales by the glass, bottle, and case from eight wineries, and light fare available for purchase from Roadies Restaurant. The venue offers panoramic views of Beltzville Lake and the surrounding Appalachian mountainside from its large open-air deck. It is a rain-or-shine event since it is held inside Penn\u2019s Peak in air-conditioned comfort.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Participating wineries include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Amore<\/li>\n<li>Blue Mountain<\/li>\n<li>Franklin Hill<\/li>\n<li>Galen Glen<\/li>\n<li>Shade Mountain Winery &amp; Vineyards<\/li>\n<li>Tolino<\/li>\n<li>Vynecrest<\/li>\n<li>The Winery at Wilcox<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Local artisans will display their wine-related arts and crafts in booths on the balcony of Penn\u2019s Peak. There is also live musical entertainment on the stage, with Robert Michaels performing <span data-term=\"goog_1630752093\">on Saturday<\/span>, and the bands The Acoustikatz, and A Day Rubies performing on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Advance tickets are $15 <span data-term=\"goog_1630752095\">on Saturday<\/span> and $15 <span data-term=\"goog_1630752096\">on Sunday<\/span>. Tickets at-the-door the weekend of the event are $20 <span data-term=\"goog_1630752097\">on Saturday<\/span> and $15 <span data-term=\"goog_1630752098\">on Sunday<\/span>.
