font-family: Cambria;\">The legendary British band, The Moody Blues, performed Tuesday night at the <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/2gbZvjd\">Sands Event Center <\/a>before a sold-out crowd.<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria;\">\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria;\">This tour celebrates the 50 year anniversary release of \u201cDays of Future Passed\u201d.<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria;\">\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria;\">And while 50 years may have passed, The Moodies, Justin Hayward, John Lodge, and Graeme Edge, took the stage with great stride, as they appeared in great shape for three men in their seventies. <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria;\">Edge, the oldest of the group is 76 years old this year.<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria;\">The concert was broken down in two sets, first, the hits.<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria;\">\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria;\">They opened with \u201cI\u2019m Just a Singer (for a Rock and Roll Band)\u201d, followed by \u201cThe Voice\u201d.<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria;\">\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria;\">Both of these songs transported the crowd back to yesteryear, as they were played as close as one could imagine to the original release.<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria;\">\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria;\">It was a time when music and lyrics were paramount. <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria;\">It was a time where the lyrics shaped who we became.<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria;\">\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria;\">\u201cMake a promise, take a vow, and trust your feelings, it\u2019s easy now. Understand the voice within, and feel the changes already beginning.\u201d<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria;\">Other classics included, \u201cSteppin\u2019 in a Slide Zone\u201d, \u201cSay it With Love\u201d, and \u201cNervous\u201d. Then they jumped to their 1986 release, a true gem, \u201cYour Wildest Dreams\u201d.<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria;\">\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria;\">The set closed with \u201cThe Story in Your Eyes\u201d, which offered classic harmonies of the Moody Blues sound, and the audience clapped along.<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria;\">After a brief intermission, the second set began with a narrative by Jeremy Irons, which swept into the beginning of \u201cDays of Future Passed\u201d with \u201cDawn is a Feeling\u201d.<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria;\">\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria;\">Lodge told the crowd, \u201cIn 1967 we went into Decca Records in London and made a record that changed our lives forever.\u201d<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria;\">The beloved classic, \u201cTuesday Afternoon\u201d full of spiritual joy, received the first standing ovation.<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria;\">\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria;\">And while the band\u2019s vocals remained remarkably intact for each song, they also brought along a great lighting scheme and graphic production, which enhanced each song as we were visually whisked through the meadows to the oceans, with plenty of flashback photos of the Moodies.<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria;\">The set closed with \u201cNights in White Satin\u201d, the one song where the audience could not get enough, and brought another standing ovation. <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria;\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria;\">It was in fact an amazing vocal performance from Hayward, the vocals deep, rich, and recreated that sense of longing.<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria;\">The Moody Blues returned to the stage for a two-song encore, \u201cQuestion\u201d, and \u201cRide My See-Saw\u201d.<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria;\">\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px;
