TREXLERTOWN, Pa. \u2013 On Friday night, the professional riders will share the spotlight in T-Town with 15 different teams from local, Lehigh Valley businesses for the 18th Annual Rodale Corporate Challenge at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center, part of the prestigious 2017 World Series of Bicycling season.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The yearly event, sponsored by Rodale Inc., invites teams of local corporations to compete in Italian Pursuits under the bright Friday night lights in T-Town. The teams have trained for weeks at the track, using VPCC equipment and coaching, in an effort to be crowned the 2017 Rodale Corporate Challenge champions.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The teams competing this year are representing Valley Preferred, Rodale Inc., Red Robin Restaurants, Air Products, B.Braun, Buckeye Partners, Coordinated Health, Bosch Rexroth, Computer Aid, Lehigh County, Summit Urology, and Celestica. Valley Preferred is fielding two teams while Rodale Inc. is fielding three, with one designated for Bicycling Magazine.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Team Bicycling Magazine comes in as the defending champion while both the squads from Valley Preferred finished second and third a year ago.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to the Rodale Corporate Challenge racing, there is also racing for the professional categories as well. The official schedule will be released soon.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Off the track, Victory Brewing Company is hosting a launch party in T-Town on Friday night for its new beer, Home Grown New American Lager. The new beer will be on sale at the Beer & Wine Stand in addition to several other great beer specials which will continue past Happy Hour, through the entirety of the night.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to specials, Victory is set to be in the plaza giving out samples and prizes to help celebrate the newly launched selection.
