BETHLEHEM, PA\u2014Join actress, comedian and Nazareth native Kate Micucci for two special screenings and talkbacks of her new film \u201cUnleashed\u201d on Sept. 9, 5:30 and 8 p.m.<\/span> at the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks\u2019 Frank Banko Alehouse Cinemas. Tickets are $9.50 for ArtsQuest Members and $12 for the public and on sale now at www.steelstacks.org<\/a> and 610-332-3378<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cUnleashed\u201d tells the story of Micucci\u2019s \u2018Emma,\u2019 a brilliant but awkward app designer who moves to San Francisco after a massive betrayal by her boyfriend, with only her beloved pets, an adorable cat and an energetic mutt in tow. One night, drawn by the light of a super moon, Emma\u2019s pets escape into the night and are transformed into full-grown men, forcing Emma to reconsider her outlook on dating and hilariously work out her trust issues. The film also stars Steve Howey and Justin Chatwin, both of the Showtime series “Shameless.”<\/p>\n Best known for the critically acclaimed film \u201cDon\u2019t Think Twice,\u201d as well as her work with partner Riki Lindhome in the comedy duo Garfunkel and Oates, Micucci started her career at Upright Citizens Brigade theater in Los Angeles and has since appeared on TV in “Raising Hope,” “Scrubs,\u201d\u00a0 “The Big Bang Theory” and “Steven Universe.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Following the screenings of \u201cUnleashed,\u201d Micucci will answer questions about her work and the film, which was named Audience Favorite at the 2016 Mill Valley Film Festival in San Rafael, Calif., and winner of the Linny and Beall Fowler Audience Award and Best Narrative Feature Film award at Bethlehem\u2019s own 2017 SouthSide Film Festival.<\/p>\n \u201cUnleashed opens Sept. 8<\/span> at the ArtsQuest Center and continues through Sept. 14<\/span>.
