font-family: Calibri;\">Fans filled the Music Fest Caf\u00e9 last night for Marshall Crenshaw y Los Straitjacket.\u00a0 Opening the show was Milton, a two-man band who filled the stage with guitar, bass, and harmonica.\u00a0 Their easy listening sounds were perfect for warming up the crowd.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">Crenshaw\u2019s backing band for this tour is Los Straitjacket, originally from Nashville.\u00a0 They were donned in black, and wore masks throughout their performance.\u00a0 It may seem like an unusual pairing, with their garage rock\/surf music style combined with Crenshaw\u2019s pop and rockabilly brand, but it worked very well.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">Los Straitjacket took the stage first and performed their instrumental favorites like \u201cSpace Mosquito\u201d, and a recognizable \u201cMy Heart Will Go On\u201d from the movie \u2018Titanic\u2019.\u00a0 As they spoke in between songs, their broken Spanish became comical.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Crenshaw took the stage and opened with Buddy Holly\u2019s \u201cCrying, Waiting, Hoping\u201d, the first of two Buddy Holly songs performed.\u00a0 As the set unfolded, it was clear that the songs selected were not only Crenshaw\u2019s personal favorites that he loved to perform in concert, but also the artists that were his biggest influences.\u00a0 Songs such as \u201cBaby She\u2019s Gone\u201d by Jack Scott, \u201cOld Brown Shoe\u201d, by The Beatles, and \u201cBus Stop\u201d by The Hollies.\u00a0 Of course Crenshaw threw in his own compositions, \u201cDeliliah\u201d, \u201cLive and Learn\u201d, and his eighties hit, \u201cSome Day, Some Way\u201d.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">Los Straitjacket returned to the stage first for the encore, as fans rose to their feet for the Batman theme song, followed by Crenshaw\u2019s rendition of Nick Lowe\u2019s \u201cCruel to Be Kind\u201d.\u00a0 The show closed with \u201cSomethings Gonna Happen.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;
