Exhibit Presented in Partnership With Stonewall National\u00a0Museum\u00a0& Archives<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n ALLENTOWN, PA — The Fine Art Galleries at Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center are hosting its first history exhibit, Secret Symphony: Gay Composers of Classical Music<\/i>, on display through November 12<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n The exhibit features 18 composers, including Leonard Bernstein, Aaron Copland, Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Hildegard Von Bingen, and Arcangelo Corelli and asks if the sexual orientation of a composer has an influence on their music.<\/p>\n Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center will host a special event on November 6th<\/span><\/span> featuring Cantor Ellen Sussman, a\u00a0trained opera singer and spiritual leader of Temple Shirat Shalom in Allentown, who will share clips of music by some of the featured composers and speak to their historical and cultural relevance. The event is at 6:30pm<\/span><\/span> and is free to attend. The\u00a0exhibit can be viewed every Monday<\/span><\/span>, Tuesday<\/span><\/span>, and Wednesday<\/span><\/span> from 1-6pm<\/span><\/span> at Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center.<\/p>\n Secret Symphony: Gay Composers of Classical Music<\/i> is presented in partnership with Stonewall National Museum and Archives in Wilton Manors, Florida.<\/p>\n Adrian Shanker, Executive Director of Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center, stated: “Understanding our cultural history is vital to celebrating LGBT art today.
