font-family: Cambria;\">Heavy metal fans flocked to The Sands Event Center Tuesday night for a three-act bill.\u00a0 Opening the evening, \u201cWild Cherry\u201d, an all female dance group from Atlanta, warmed up the crowd.<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria;\">Steel Panther was next to hit the stage, a band that formed over fifteen years ago in Los Angeles, brought the mojo essence of the eighties, complete with their hair styles overly hair sprayed and classic spandex pants.\u00a0 And while they may best be known for their raunchy machismo humor with their stage antics and performance, their heavy metal music is quite good. \u00a0Steel Panther proved to be the perfect opening band to Stone Sour.\u00a0 \u00a0Think of them as \u00a0a cross between Motley Crue and Spinal Tap, with their libidos cranked up to 11.<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria;\">Stone Sour promised the crowd, they were going to play songs they haven\u2019t played in years, from their self titled first album.\u00a0 The audience screamed with delight, as they played \u201cGet Inside\u201d, \u201cCold Reader\u201d, and \u201cTake a Number.\u201d <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Cambria;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0But the wide attention of their latest release, \u2018Hydrograd\u2019 can\u2019t be overlooked, it is a commercial success.\u00a0 The first single out of the gate, \u201cSong #3\u201d, continues to rise up the charts. \u00a0Their set opened with \u00a0\u201cYSIF\u201d, followed by \u201c Taipei Person\/Allah Tea\u201d, lead singer , Corey Taylor covered the full stage and threw water from his water bottle into the crowd.
