The parade will step-off from the Allentown Fairgrounds on Sunday, October 15 at 2:00pm.\u00a0 It will proceed on 17th Street to Hamilton Street and will conclude at Ninth Street.<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s parade lineup is a diverse and exciting showcase of Allentown\u2019s Halloween spirit! This year\u2019s parade theme is \u201cOuter Space Invasion,\u201d so prepare for aliens, space ships and a supernova of out of this world decorations parading through the city!<\/p>\n
With ten youth and adult performing bands, the 2017 Allentown Halloween Parade brings an abundance of musical entertainment.\u00a0 The Allentown Hobo \u201cAlmost\u201d Marching Band and the Allentown All-City Band are back again in 2017 in addition to the Allentown School District high school and middle school bands.<\/p>\n
Performance groups XCAPE, Hispanic American League of Artists and Small Steps Big Dreams are also sprinkled into the parade lineup.<\/p>\n
69 News and WFMZ.com\u2019s own Jim Vaughn and Melanie Falcon will emcee this year\u2019s parade at the Judges\u2019 Reviewing Stand, located at 12th & Hamilton streets.<\/p>\n
\u201cAllentown\u2019s Halloween Parade is an outstanding tradition that showcases our community spirit and variety of talent and creativity right here in the city,\u201d said Parks & Recreation Director Lindsay Taylor. \u201cI hope to see spooky aliens and out of this world characters along the parade route, enjoying the festivities with their families and friends!\u201d<\/p>\n
New for 2017, two food trucks will be located along the parade route to provide refreshments. The Perk Up Truck will be located at 17th & Linden streets, and Couch Pota-Doh will be located at 12th & Hamilton streets.<\/p>\n
