Tape Swap Radio\u2019s \u2018Lehigh Valley Fall Bash\u2019 Brings Together 5 Independent Bands<\/span><\/span><\/h1>\n


\n(Bethlehem, PA)<\/span><\/b>\u2013 A handful of bands from the Lehigh Valley\u2019s independent music scene will converge in Bethlehem next week for Tape Swap Radio\u2019s first \u2018Lehigh Valley Fall Bash.\u2019 On Friday, November 3, 2017<\/span><\/span>, Tape Swap Radio will host three established Lehigh Valley bands at the Charles A. Brown Ice House: Slingshot Dakota (indie punk), Georgia Foreman (noise pop), and Small Mess (indie rock). Joining them is Asbury Park, NJ\u2019s Teenage Halloween (indie punk).<\/span><\/p>\n

The show will be opened by Turtleini, a band that formed at the 2017 Lehigh Valley Girls Rock camp. Lehigh Valley Girls Rock brings together girls, trans, and nonbinary youth ages 10-17 every year and has them form bands, write a song, and attend workshops.<\/p>\n

Tape Swap Radio\u2019s Lehigh Valley Fall Bash is an all ages event. Doors open at 7 PM<\/span><\/span> the night of the show. Tickets are $10 for general admission, $8 with a current student ID.<\/span> The event is part of the IceHouse Tonight<\/span><\/span> Series which brings a variety of arts and ultural events to the Ice House every year.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tape Swap Radio is a live music series started in 2013 dedicated to independent and DIY music in the Lehigh Valley. Tape Swap Radio airs every other Friday<\/span><\/span> at 11 PM on WDIY 88.1 FM, Lehigh Valley\u2019s community NPR Station, as well as every Thursday<\/span><\/span> at 8 PM<\/span><\/span> on WLVU Internet Radio. Podcasts and video are made available on their website.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tape Swap Radio\u2019s accompanying concert series has been bringing live shows to the Lehigh Valley for the past three years and currently hosts about 20 shows per year at a variety of venues: The Ice House in Bethlehem, The Bethlehem Area Public Library, Lit Roastery & Bakeshop in Bethlehem, The Funhouse in Bethlehem, and The Alternative Gallery in Allentown.<\/span><\/p>\n
