Subaru of America donated the vehicle as part of its \u201c50 Cars for 50 Years\u201d initiative with Meals On Wheels America in celebration of Subaru\u2019s 50th anniversary.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u00a0\u201c50 Cars for 50 Years\u201d donation will be used to deliver nutritious meals to home-bound seniors and more<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>BETHLEHEM, PA (November 15, 2017) \u2013 Meals On Wheels of Northampton County was the proud recipient of a new 2018 Subaru Outback at a special event Wednesday at Faulkner Subaru Bethlehem.<\/p>\n<p>Faulkner Subaru Bethlehem General Manager Dave Kopew and Subaru corporate officials presented Meals On Wheels of Northampton County Executive Director JoAnn Bergeron Nenow with the Subaru Outback that is fully wrapped with the Meals on Wheels America and \u201cSubaru Loves to Help\u201d co-branding. Nenow also received $250 in gas cards to help cover the costs of mileage for the vehicle\u2019s meal deliveries. (A video of this presentation can be found at <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/H2cXEqDxdvs\" data-rel=\"lightbox-video-0\"><strong>https:\/\/youtu.be\/H2cXEqDxdvs<\/strong><\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>Meals On Wheels of Northampton County was one of 50 Meals on Wheels organizations across the country selected to receive a new 2018 Subaru Outback through a partnership between Subaru of America Inc. and Meals On Wheels America. Subaru of America donated these Outback vehicles in celebration of its 50<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary and its philosophy of supporting local communities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s absolutely wonderful to receive this 2018 Subaru Outback,\u201d Nenow says. \u201cThis new vehicle will allow us to deliver our healthy, nutritious and medically tailored meals to more home-bound seniors and adults with disabilities in need in our community. Our case managers also will use the vehicle when meeting with current and potential new clients, and it will provide great exposure for our mission throughout the community. We are so grateful to Subaru of America, Meals on Wheels America and Dave and his team at Faulkner Subaru Bethlehem.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Subaru and Meals on Wheels partnership is part of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.subaru.com\/community\/community-causes.html\">Subaru Loves to Help<\/a>, a pillar of the automaker\u2019s larger <a href=\"http:\/\/www.subaru.com\/love-promise.html\">Subaru Love Promise Community Commitment<\/a> effort dedicated to making a positive impact on local communities across the country.
