December 15 – <\/strong>Joey Fay of the Travis Manion Foundation Returns to Springhouse Middle School after visiting students in September and asking them to take on the challenge of doing something in honor of a fallen hero, 12:30 PM.<\/strong> He will be back today at 12:30 PM to learn that the students collected more than $2,000 in the name of Parkland Alumnus Matthew Koch, a fallen military hero. Travis Manion Foundation spreads the message of “Character Matters Most” and “If not me, then who?” The SMS students took that motto to heart and will pay it forward on December 19th with random acts of kindness in our community in honor of Matthew Koch. Stay tuned to our facebook page to see where their random acts pop up this Tuesday, between 11 AM and 2 PM!<\/p>\n

December 16, Artist Reception featuring the work of 2016 Graduate Kelly Micca, 7-9 PM, PHS Trojan Art Gallery. <\/strong>Works feature Rome, Italy and New York City where she did painting residencies.<\/p>\n

December 17, <\/strong>CNN HEROES: AN ALL-STAR TRIBUTE<\/strong>, 8 PM on CNN.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Who will be the 2017 CNN Hero of the Year? Watch live as they announce the winner to see if Parkland Alum Samir Lakani wins! Samir Lakhani\u2019s nonprofit recycles discarded bars of soap from hotels across Cambodia and distributes it to villages in need.<\/p>\n

December 19 – Springhouse MS students and staff shower the community with random acts of kindness, 11 AM – 2 PM. <\/strong>They’ll be reporting from their various locations on the District Facebook page.<\/p>\n

December 20 – PHS Winter Band Concert, 7 PM.<\/strong><\/p>\n

December 22 – January 1 – WINTER BREAK – SCHOOLS CLOSED<\/strong><\/p>\n

Register now for PHS Dance Team’s Hip Hop Dance Clinic for students in grades K-8. <\/strong>It will occur Jan 6th from 1-4 PM in the PHS Auxiliary Gym.<\/p>\n
