New Call Letters Represent a Broadening of Both Reach and Content Diversity<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Bethlehem, Pa. — March 15, 2018<\/span><\/span> —\u00a0<\/strong>Today Lehigh Valley Public Telecommunications Corporation (LVPTC), parent company of WLVT –\u00a0PBS39, announced that it has finalized the transfer of a broadcast license from WYBE in Philadelphia.\u00a0 Under the new call letters of WPPT (Pennsylvania Public Television), the public media affiliate offers international programming from MHz Worldview<\/strong> and WORLD<\/strong> on channels 35.1 and 35.2, respectively.<\/div>\n

“PBS39 is\u00a0committed to bringing diverse content to our viewing audience,” said Tim Fallon, PBS39’s Chief Executive Officer. “We are very fortunate to be in a\u00a0position where we can provide high quality, non-commercial programming across five unique channels.”<\/div>\n
