Land, who selected the name to honor Jacques DeMolay, the last Grand Master of the Knights Templar in France.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: #2b2b2b; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;\">Allentown Chapter\u00a0was formed in 1926 by local Masons, who also built the local Masonic Temple located on <i>Linden Street<\/i> across from Allentown\u2019s West Park.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: #2b2b2b; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;\">Allentown DeMolay is sponsored by Allen-Beauceant Commandery No. 20 of the Knights Templar. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: #2b2b2b; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;\">Both groups meet in the Commandery Asylum located on the first floor of the Temple.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: #2b2b2b; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;\">Allentown\u00a0Chapter includes boys from the City of\u00a0Allentown and many neighboring\u00a0municipalities and school districts throughout the Lehigh Valley, including Allentown, East Penn, Parkland, Salisbury, Whitehall-Coplay,\u00a0Northampton, Nazareth, Bangor, and Easton.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: #2b2b2b; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;\">The current Master Councilor, Miles Green, is a sophomore at Emmaus High School.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: #2b2b2b; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;\">To encourage all Pennsylvania\u00a0DeMolay\u00a0Chapters to organize, execute, and document successful\u00a0DeMolay\u00a0Month\u00a0observances during the month of March, Pennsylvania\u00a0DeMolay\u00a0again sponsored the\u00a0DeMolay\u00a0Month\u00a0Award of Excellence. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: #2b2b2b; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;\">As a part of this contest, each Chapter can earn points by completing certain tasks, and the winner will be\u00a0recognized with the Pennsylvania DeMolay\u00a0\u201cDeMolay\u00a0Month\u00a099th Anniversary Award of Excellence.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: #2b2b2b; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;\">In addition to one Chapter winning the Award of Excellence, the top three Chapters in Pennsylvania\u00a0will be recognized\u00a0with certificates and\u00a0cash prizes\u00a0at the state\u00a0organization\u2019s\u00a0annual convention,\u00a0which is being held this year\u00a0in Gettysburg.
