{"id":7025,"date":"2015-07-13T15:30:45","date_gmt":"2015-07-13T19:30:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/?p=7025"},"modified":"2015-07-13T15:36:20","modified_gmt":"2015-07-13T19:36:20","slug":"httpallentownjazzfest-org-12","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/?p=7025","title":{"rendered":"Lehigh Valley Yoga Festival returns to downtown Easton on July 25"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>2<\/strong><b><sup>nd<\/sup><\/b><strong> ANNUAL LEHIGH VALLEY YOGA FESTIVAL<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>RETURNS TO NURTURE NATURE CENTER IN DOWNTOWN EASTON <span data-term=\"goog_71002665\">JULY 25<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>EASTON, PA \u2013 J<em>uly 13, 2015 <\/em>\u2013 Fans of yoga, meditation, Kirtan music, and much more will come together again this year for the 2<sup>nd<\/sup> Annual Lehigh Valley Yoga Festival on <span data-term=\"goog_71002667\">Saturday, July 25<\/span> at the Nurture Nature Center in downtown Easton from <span data-term=\"goog_71002668\">10 a.m.<\/span> \u2013 <span data-term=\"goog_71002669\">10 p.m.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Activities will include yoga classes, workshops, speakers, kirtan music performances, and children&#8217;s yoga. Beginner and experienced practitioners alike will find classes for their respective abilities. Novice yoga students can try their very first yoga class, and experienced yoga practitioners can discover new approaches to aid in deepening their current practice. A complete event schedule can be found at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lvyogafest.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.lvyogafest.com\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Event highlights include performances by Sean Johnson and the Wild Lotus Band, and Dalien (a.k.a. 13 Hands). Additionally,\u00a0there will be a vendor area with artists, wellness practitioners, and health food offerings.<\/p>\n<p>LVYF will again donate a portion of its proceeds to the Pratyush Sinha Foundation, a non-profit organization whose mission is to effectively address deep-rooted issues of violence, aggression, school dropout and addiction amongst at-risk youth by giving them opportunities to practice yoga. The organization believes that in addition to education, children need to be provided with the tools that will make them confident, balanced and strong; all of which can be done through an integrated yoga program.\u00a0Its ultimate goal is to enable children socially and economically to have a better quality of life and become positive influences in society.<\/p>\n<p>Last year\u2019s event raised $700 for the foundation which is being used this year to provide free yoga classes to the students at Allentown\u2019s new Building 21 high school which opens this fall. More information can be found at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.pratyushsinhafoundation.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.pratyushsinhafoundation.org\/<\/a><u>. <\/u><\/p>\n<p>Tickets are now on sale online via the event web site at four levels:<\/p>\n<p>Shanti Pass &#8211; $50 \u2013 standard festival admission for ages 11 and up.<\/p>\n<p>Sanctuary Pass &#8211; $150 \u2013 includes festival admission; event T-shirt; Sean Johnson &amp; the Wild Lotus Band CD; and admission to the Sanctuary &#8211; a quiet oasis with refreshments, private bathroom access, and chair massages throughout the day.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2028<\/strong>Satsang Pass &#8211; $175 &#8211; five festival tickets, perfect for a group of friends (a savings of $75).<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2028<\/strong>Bala Pass &#8211; $15 &#8211; for children 4-10 years of age, includes access to the children\u2019s yoga area and to the Kirtan room. (All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times during the festival.)<\/p>\n<p>Shanti and Sanctuary passes will also be available at the door for the same price the day of the event.
