KUTZTOWN, PA – April 14th<\/sup> & 15th<\/sup>, Setter Ridge Vineyards will be hosting a launch party celebrating their new brand.\u00a0In September of 2017 Blair Vineyards announced its intention of changing brands to Setter Ridge Vineyards.\u00a0English Setters have been a part of the Blair family for four generations.\u00a0Over the course of this weekend, they\u2019ll be showing off their new logo on the glassware, wine bottles, t-shirts, signage and more! We\u2019re looking forward to celebrating this next step with both old and new friends for a fun weekend of wine, food, music, dogs and more.\u00a0And we’re very happy to see that the weather should be cooperating for this fun event!<\/div>\n

Several promotions will be taking place throughout the weekend and for the rest of the month.\u00a0Over the course of the weekend, there will be a three pack of wines available at over a 35% discount.\u00a0Grab premade three pack of Gewurztraminer, Chardonnay & Wedding Cuvee (a Bordeaux style blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc & Cabernet Sauvignon) for $36 including tax.\u00a0Also, help us work our way through our old Blair Vineyards labels.\u00a0Any wine with a Blair Vineyards label will be 20% off starting the weekend of April 14th<\/sup> and continuing through the end of the month.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The first 200 people with a wine purchase each day will receive a complimentary Setter Ridge stemless wine glass.\u00a0In addition all half and full case purchases will receive a special gift, including Setter Ridge car magnets!\u00a0Register for the event in advance and receive a coupon for an additional 5% discount on your wine purchase (not applicable on the special 3 pack purchase or 20% Blair Vineyards label discount, but can be used in conjunction with single bottle, half & full case purchases).<\/div>\n

Enjoy great music throughout the weekend.\u00a0Stop up on Saturday<\/span><\/span> and enjoy the Good Lovin\u2019 Jam Band.\u00a0This band is an amazing collaboration of some of the Reading area’s greatest musicians with positive creation in attendance, the vibe and the spirit coming to life. Their musical compositions created a launch pad for improvisation, while respecting the original songs and lyrics of the Grateful Dead. The Good Lovin\u2019 Jam Band often features other local acts and various “sit in” artists to expand community growth. They are truly inspired by the music of The Grateful Dead , community of fans and dancers!\u00a0Sunday<\/span><\/span> will featuring winery mainstay RK3.\u00a0Playing at the winery since 2010, this group from West Chester has been together since 1998 and concentrates on playing a mix of popular music from the sixties to today.\u00a0Enjoy both concerts rain or shine underneath a combination of Setter Ridge Vineyards\u2019 covered patio and heated tent.\u00a0Some seating is available, but please bring your own lawn chairs.<\/div>\n

Garofalo\u2019s Calabria will be onsite with their food truck both days beginning at noon<\/span><\/span>.\u00a0\u00a0Their menu features dishes prepared with local and seasonal ingredients and includes various pastas, pizzas, desserts and more.\u00a0They will be featuring a special dish that pairs beautifully with our Riesling.\u00a0Their Pasts Alfredo-Pesto Primavera has a bright freshness from vegetables in a rich & creamy sauce.\u00a0Water and various sodas will also be available for purchase.\u00a0In addition to wine by the glass or bottle, various wine slushies will be available for purchase, as well as beer from local brewery Saucony Creek.\u00a0No outside alcoholic beverages are permitted on site.<\/div>\n

Free tours of the facility will be given each day at 11:30 am.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0Tours will last about 15 minutes and do go downstairs and throughout the building, so please dress accordingly.<\/div>\n

In addition to amazing food and complimentary music, also stop up in support of a local English Setter Rescue Group.\u00a0Above & Beyond English Setter Rescue League will be onsite with additional information about fostering or adopting English Setters.\u00a0Feel free to help with donation of time or monetary donations.\u00a0Above & Beyond English Setter Rescue is nonprofit\u00a0charitable organization committed to saving English Setters. Since 2004,\u00a0their efforts enabled over 1,500 homeless setters to find their way into loving\u00a0forever homes. The setters rescued by Above & Beyond are often found in shelters, as strays, no\u00a0longer wanted because they do not hunt, or turned in by families who are\u00a0no longer able to care for their setter. Once in rescue, their foster homes\u00a0work with each dog to determine temperament, personality, and best type\u00a0of home situation for their foster\u2019s needs. All dogs receive basic vetting: spay\/neuter, vaccines, and parasite testing \/treatment.\u00a0Many rescued setters have significant medical needs which require advanced medical care for heartworm disease, tumors, untreated breaks or fractures, etc.\u00a0A&BESR provides for all medical care.\u00a0Once restored to health, their setters are available for adoption.<\/div>\n

Setter Ridge Vineyards is both a pet friendly & family friendly winery.\u00a0Please note that all pets must be leashed & supervised at all times.\u00a0Setter Ridge Vineyards will have water available for your pets.\u00a0Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Setter Ridge Vineyards is a working vineyard and winery.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0All children must be supervised at all times.<\/div>\n

If you are unable to visit Setter Ridge Vineyards for their Launch weekend, feel free to stop by during the week or weekends any time.\u00a0Setter Ridge Vineyards is open from 11am \u2013 5 pm<\/span><\/span> daily and are looking forward to the start of their outdoor season with the First Happy Hour of 2018 on Friday May 18<\/span><\/span>th<\/sup>.<\/div>\n

Setter Ridge Vineyards (previously Blair Vineyards) moved their tasting room and operations in June 2010 to a new state of the art building conveniently located miles off exit 40 on I-78 west of Allentown. A gravity flow winery was built to take advantage of the south facing slopes on their 35 acre property.\u00a0With the tank and barrel rooms located 18 feet in the ground, the building maintains an average temperature of 50 degrees throughout the year without the use of energy.\u00a0Currently 20 acres are planted with a variety of grapes, from Riesling & Chardonnay to Pinot Noir & Syrah, as well as several other varieties.\u00a0The goal is to become strictly an Estate Grown Vineyard & Winery within the next few years with the addition of several acres of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Sauvignon.\u00a0\u00a0An outdoor tasting pavilion lets visitors enjoy a glass of wine outside surrounded by the vines with gorgeous views of the Blue Mountains and Berks County countryside.<\/div>\n
