Bethlehem, Pa. — April 10, 2018 — <\/strong>PBS39 has teamed up with\u00a0The Jim Thorpe Independent Film Festival\u00a0to\u00a0showcase the region’s talented film makers.\u00a0The festival runs from Thursday, April 12 to Sunday, April 15<\/span><\/span> at the Mauch Chunk Opera House in Jim Thorpe. Out of over 750 submissions received this year, JTIFF will screen 93 films over the course of the four day festival.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

PBS39 will air\u00a0“Opening Night at the Jim Thorpe International Film Festival”,\u00a0a one-hour program that will premiere Friday, April 13 at 6:00\u00a0pm.<\/span><\/span> This special broadcast will include the opening night festivities and a screening of\u00a0select\u00a0student films.\u00a0\u00a0In addition,\u00a0PBS39 will be filming throughout the four-day\u00a0festival for a\u00a0special “wrap-up” show that will\u00a0premier Monday, April 16<\/span><\/span>\u00a0at 11:00\u00a0pm.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0\u00a0This airing will recap the festival, the closing night activities, and awards ceremony. The following two nights, Tuesday, April 17 and Wednesday, April 18 at 11:00\u00a0pm<\/span><\/span> will be dedicated to the films.\u00a0 Each show will include interview segments with directors, actors, producers, and other key people involved with the films and the festival.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
