BETHLEHEM, PA\u2014Jason Mraz, Brantley Gilbert, Jim Gaffigan, Kesha, Marc Broussard, Colony House, Marshall Crenshaw, Squirrel Nut Zippers, the Original Wailers, We are Scientists and !!! are among the nearly 400 performers taking the stage as part of the 35th<\/sup> edition of Musikfest, the nation\u2019s largest free-admission music festival. The event, set for Aug. 3-12<\/span> in Bethlehem, Pa., will feature music at 16 of its 18 total venues, with more than 500 free music and art performances during its 10-day run.<\/p>\n Artists performing at Musikfest\u2019s Sands Steel Stage main stage this year include Trombone Shorty\u2019s Voodoo Threauxdown Aug. 2<\/span> (special preview night concert), STYX and Joan Jett & the Blackhearts Aug. 3<\/span>, Jim Gaffigan Aug. 5<\/span>, Kesha Aug. 7<\/span>, Brantley Gilbert Aug. 10<\/span> and Jason Mraz Aug. 12<\/span>. The festival\u2019s five additional Sands Steel Stage acts will be announced in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n Highlighting the free performances at Musikfest are shows by Squirrel Nut Zippers Aug. 6<\/span> at the IBEW Local #375 Volksplatz stage, Marc Broussard Aug. 7<\/span> at the Air Products Americaplatz stage, The Original Wailers Aug. 11<\/span> at Volksplatz, Marshall Crenshaw Aug. 9<\/span> at Americaplatz and Colony House Aug. 11<\/span> at Americaplatz. Other acts confirmed to perform include electro-pop act GGOOLLDD Aug. 3<\/span>, rising country artist Adam Doleac and country duo Walker McGuire Aug. 4<\/span>, bluesman Eric Gales Aug. 8<\/span> and dance-punk band !!! (pronounced Chk Chk Chk) and indie rockers We are Scientists on Aug. 11<\/span>. On Aug. 4<\/span>, New York City-based Public Access TV will rock the Plaza Tropical stage, while on Aug. 8<\/span> former \u2018The Voice<\/em>\u2019 contestant and singer-songwriter Tony Lucca will perform at Americaplatz.<\/p>\n Presented by the nonprofit ArtsQuest, Musikfest was founded in 1984 and today offers more than 500 free music and art performances at 18 venues, making it one of the largest music festivals in the nation. The festival, which features free music on 16 stages, is made possible thanks in part to the\u00a0support of 1,700 volunteers, 3,000\u00a0supporting ArtsQuest Members and more than 150 corporate partners.<\/p>\n Musikfest takes place throughout Bethlehem\u2019s\u00a0Historic District, as well as the SteelStacks arts and cultural campus located on the site of the city\u2019s former Bethlehem Steel plant.
