(Allentown, PA)- The Center for Medicare & Medicare Services (CMS), has released its 2018 quarterly evaluation of nursing homes.\u00a0\u00a0 Cedarbrook received five out of five stars for overall quality.\u00a0 In addition, it saw its staff rating increase from three stars to four stars and received four stars for nurse staffing.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are pleased with the latest results from CMS.\u00a0 They are an indicator of our continued commitment to providing high-quality care to Lehigh County\u2019s senior population.\u00a0 This is the result of tremendous effort and hard work amongst the entire staff,\u201d said Joseph Shadid, RN, MSN, MBA, NHA, Administrator\/ Director of Cedarbrook.<\/p>\n
Shadid was recently inducted into the International Nursing Honor Society, Sigma Theta Tau as a result of his excellence in the field of nursing.<\/p>\n

Shadid added that these rating increases make Cedarbrook compelling and competitive for those seeking care in Lehigh County.\u00a0 They are also representative of an attentive and well-functioning staff that deals with a large number of dementia patients who require more time and resources.<\/p>\n

Cedarbrook currently has 670 beds across two campuses where 236 residents suffer from advanced dementia.<\/p>\n
