Elusive Picture Book Celebrity Creates Summertime Fun in Support of Shopping Local<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

July 5, 2018 <\/strong>\u2014 Where\u2019s Waldo? In Emmaus, PA<\/strong>, of course! The famous children\u2019s book character in the red-and-white-striped shirt and black-rimmed specs is visiting local businesses throughout our community this July. Find Waldo Local is a great summer activity for kids, and a wonderful way to support local businesses and the Shop Local movement in our community. \u00a0See the attached list of participating businesses.<\/p>\n

To participate, pick up a \u201cFind Waldo Local in Emmaus<\/strong> Passport\u201d at Let\u2019s Play Books Bookstore, which contains the names of all the participating sites.\u00a0 Then, visit each business to get the passport stamped or signed after finding the 6-inch Waldo hidden somewhere in each establishment. Collecting store stamps or signatures at the businesses will entitle diligent seekers entry into a prize drawing at the Grand Celebration on Saturday, August 4, at 12pm.<\/span><\/p>\n

There is no cost to participate, and the hunt lasts for the entire month of July. This is the fifth year Let\u2019s Play Books! has organized the event in Emmaus. \u201cThe program has been a huge hit.\u00a0 Families can tailor the event to fit their own needs and timing.\u00a0 It is by far one of my favorite times of the year \u2013 a Where\u2019s Waldo<\/em> scavenger hunt is the definition of playing books!\u201d \u2013 Kirsten Hess, owner, Let\u2019s Play Books Bookstore.<\/p>\n

This year, many participating businesses are taking their love for Waldo to the next level. The month-long hunt ends with a Grand Celebration on Sunday, August 5, at 12pm.<\/span> \u00a0Ai Orthodontics is sponsoring Rita\u2019s Italian Ice for all participants.<\/p>\n
