Local Farmers Markets are being filled with everything from Fruits to Veggies to Local Bread, Jellies, Honey and Much More!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background: white; margin: 0px; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Buy Fresh\/Buy Local seems to have hit the Valley more than ever this year as I have been noticing the flurry of activity greater and greater with each upcoming season.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background: white; margin: 0px; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">2018 marks my 5<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0Year as being part of a local CSA (Consumer Supportive Agriculture). Where a person can purchase a share of a local farm and receive freshly picked goods each week. The Farm I have stock in is Crooked Row Farms which is in New Tripoli. Once a week I receive an email detailing what will be in my bag for the week. It\u2019s very exciting as I\u2019m getting a taste of items that I normally wouldn\u2019t buy in the grocery store.<\/span><\/span><span style=\"background: white; margin: 0px; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background: white; margin: 0px; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">This brings me to this week\u2019s CSA bag:<\/span><\/span><span style=\"background: white; margin: 0px; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background: white; margin: 0px; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Baby Zucchini<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background: white; margin: 0px; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Mizuna<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background: white; margin: 0px; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Fresh Garlic &amp; Scapes (Garlic Tops)<\/span><\/span><span style=\"background: white; margin: 0px; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #b00000; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-79418\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Farm-to-Table.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"742\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Farm-to-Table.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Farm-to-Table-243x300.jpg 243w, https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Farm-to-Table-300x371.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background: white; margin: 0px; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Mizuna was a New Green for me, and I was excited to try it out. Baby Zucchini is always fun and very tender. One can never have enough Garlic and Scapes (top of the garlic plant) and are great saut\u00e9ed with mushrooms &amp; kale.<\/span><\/span><span style=\"background: white; margin: 0px; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background: white; margin: 0px; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I prepared the mizuna leaves as a salad and dressed with a Fresh Lemon Vinaigrette (recipe to follow). I also made a marinade the baby zucchini &amp; slurry for the pork tenderloin using ingredients in the bag.<\/span><\/span><span style=\"background: white; margin: 0px; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><u><span style=\"background: white; margin: 0px; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Lemon Vinaigrette:<\/span><\/span><\/u><span style=\"background: white; margin: 0px; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background: white; margin: 0px; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Juice of 2 Lemons, seeds removed<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background: white; margin: 0px; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00bc Cup Olive Oil<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background: white; margin: 0px; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Salt &amp; Pepper<\/span><\/span><span style=\"background: white; margin: 0px; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background: white; margin: 0px; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Whisk fresh lemon juice with olive oil, adjust seasoning with salt &amp; pepper to your liking.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background: white; margin: 0px; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Spritz salad with dressing as not to douse the tender greens and allowing the flavor to come thru.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background: white; margin: 0px; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Cut zucchini in half, place in bag and marinate veggies for 15 mins before grilling. Baste veggies with marinade if needed.<\/span><\/span><span style=\"background: white; margin: 0px; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><u><span style=\"background: white; margin: 0px; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Pork Tenderloin Marinade<\/span><\/u><span style=\"background: white; margin: 0px; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">:<\/span><\/span><span style=\"background: white; margin: 0px; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background: white; margin: 0px; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Olive Oil<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">1 Head Garlic, peeled<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">2 Bunches Curly Parsley, stemmed<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">2 lemons, juiced<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Peppercorns<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Salt, to taste<\/span><\/span><span style=\"margin: 0px; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Puree all items in a Bullet Blender to achieve an herb infusion slurry.\u00a0Add enough Olive oil to create the emulsion.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Pulse every 5 seconds to incorporate the ingredients.\u00a0 Adjust salt, pepper to taste.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Coat the pork tenderloin with the Herb Infusion Slurry, let sit at room temperature for 5 minutes before grilling.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"margin: 0px; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Grill to 165<\/span><span style=\"margin: 0px; font-family: 'MS Gothic'; font-size: 12pt;\">\uff9f<\/span><span style=\"margin: 0px; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">F., Let tenderloin rest 10 minutes before slicing.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Slice Plate &amp;
