BETHLEHEM, PA\u2014As the sun shines on Musikfest, the City of Bethlehem and ArtsQuest staff are hard at work preparing to reopen the festival\u2019s three venues impacted by flooding as soon as possible. Cleanup of Musikfest\u2019s Familienplatz, Handwerkplatz and Volksplatz venues is well underway. All music stages other than Volksplatz are currently open and the Daughtry concert at the Sands Steel Stage is on as scheduled.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe thank the City of Bethlehem,\u00a0its health and emergency services departments\u00a0and the County of Northampton\u00a0for their quick and efficient response to this situation,\u201d says ArtsQuest President & CEO Kassie Hilgert. \u201cThe strong teamwork between everyone is helping this process go very smoothly. Right now, our main focus is on getting the sites ready so we can get our artists, sponsors and vendors back up and running.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe City and ArtsQuest are keeping a close eye on flow conditions of the Monocacy Creek and we will provide\u00a0an update Sunday<\/span> morning as to when we will be able to reopen the venues.\u201d<\/p>\n

In an effort to keep as many Volksplatz performances as possible on the Musikfest schedule, ArtsQuest has juggled its lineups to present the artists impacted by today\u2019s flooding at other venues throughout the festival grounds. The revised schedule for today and tomorrow<\/span> is:<\/p>\n

Saturday<\/span><\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Rob Curto\u2019s Furro<\/strong>\u00a0For All Volksplatz show – moved to the Jazz Cabaret at the ArtsQuest Center, 4:30-5:30 p.m.<\/span><\/p>\n

Gretchen and the Pickpockets\u2019<\/strong>\u00a0show in the Jazz Cabaret is shifted to 6-7 p.m.<\/span><\/p>\n

Funky Dawgz Brass Band\u2019s<\/strong>\u00a0Volksplatz show – moved to Lagerplatz at 7:30 p.m.<\/span> (30 minute set)<\/p>\n

Red Baraat\u2019s<\/strong>\u00a0Volksplatz show – moved to ArtsQuest Center\u2019s Musikfest Caf\u00e9, 10-11:30 p.m.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Supernaturals,<\/strong>\u00a0originally scheduled for the Musikfest Caf\u00e9 tonight<\/span>, will play tomorrow<\/span> in the Musikfest Caf\u00e9 from 2-5 p.m.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sunday<\/span><\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Asbury United Methodist Church Worship Service scheduled for Volksplatz will be held 10 a.m.<\/span> in the Musikfest Caf\u00e9.<\/p>\n
