The City of Allentown Department of Parks and Recreation is seeking registrations for the 2018 Allentown Halloween Parade, scheduled for Sunday, October 14<\/span>. The parade will step-off from the Allentown Fairgrounds at 2:00pm.<\/span>\u00a0 It proceeds on 17th<\/sup> Street to Hamilton Street to conclude at Ninth Street.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s parade promises to showcase Allentown\u2019s Halloween spirit! The parade\u2019s theme is \u201cStoryBook Favorites,\u201d and will bring to life a variety of characters from popular books.<\/p>\n

If your organization or group is interested in participating in this year\u2019s parade, please contact the Department of Parks & Recreation at 610-437-7757 or Jared.Howard@allentownpa.gov.<\/p>\n

There is no cost to participating non-profits and community organizations; for-profit businesses pay a $75.00 fee to enter in the parade.<\/p>\n

The registration form is available at www.allentownpa.gov\/halloweenparade<\/a>.\u00a0 Registration deadline is Wednesday, October 3<\/span>.<\/p>\n

An estimated 10,000 persons lined last year\u2019s parade route.\u00a0 Monetary prizes were awarded to the top three entrants in the float and marchers categories.<\/p>\n
