The City of Allentown Department of Parks and Recreation\u2019s Movies in the Park series continues Saturday September 8<\/span> at Cedar Beach Park with the rescheduled screening of \u201cThe Secret Life of Pets.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

This PG rated animated movie features the voices of Louis C.K., Eric Stonestreet and Kevin Hart. \u201cMax (Louis C.K.) is a spoiled terrier who enjoys a comfortable life in a New York building until his owner adopts Duke (Eric Stonestreet), a giant and unruly canine. During their walk outside, they encounter a group of ferocious alley cats and wind up in a truck that’s bound for the pound. Luckily, a rebellious bunny\u00a0named Snowball (Kevin Hart) swoops in to save the doggy duo from captivity. In exchange, Snowball demands that Max and Duke join his gang of abandoned pets on a mission against the humans who’ve done them wrong.\u201d<\/p>\n

The roughly 85 minute show will begin at dusk (approximately 7:45pm<\/span>).<\/p>\n

Arts and Crafts are available from the City of Allentown Department of Parks and Recreation as well as face painting by Pretty Scary Faces. Concessions can be purchased from V&C Food Services.<\/p>\n

This installment of the Movies in the Park series follows the Friends of the Allentown Parks\u2019 7th<\/sup> annual Woofstock event.<\/p>\n
